Anjan Never to Make Byomkesh Bakshi Films Again

RBN Web Desk: Filmmaker Anjan Dutt has said, he would never make a Byomkesh film again, regardless of whether his future projects are a success or failure. Speaking to a leading Bengali daily recently, Anjan said that he has not left any option to return to Byomkesh Bakshi films.

The actor-director said, he is finally being able to make films according to his liking, not succumbing to the demands of the producer. Every time he went hunting for producers, all of them demanded a Byomkesh film from him, Anjan added.

Byomkesh, created by Sharadindu Bandopadhyay, is one of the most popular characters in Bengali fiction.

The director had successfully revived Byomkesh on the big screen in 2010 and went on to make five more films in the franchise.
