Indrani Haldar to Return as a Detective
RBN Web Desk: National award winning actress Indrani Haldar is all set to wear the detective’s hat again in a new film that has Srabanti Chatterjee and Vickey Deb in the lead. The film, titled Drishyantor, is directed by Rana Banerjee.
Indrani had played a sleuth in the hugely popular crime anthology television series Goyenda Ginni broadcast on a private channel from September 2015 to December 2016. It was her comeback project in Bengali television.
Srabanti plays Rupsa, an actress, in Drishyantor. Vickey plays a theatre director who offers Rupsa the lead role in one of his productions. Rupsa agrees but loses her eyesight in a freak accident. Around the same time, a woman who used to reside on the floor above Rupsa’s apartment, is found killed under mysterious circumstance. Indrani, who plays detective Satarupa Sengupta, is called to investigate the murder.

The Drishyantor team has already canned a major part of the film in Darjeeling. The remaining part will be shot in Kolkata.
The film is expected to release later this year.
