Eken Babu Web-Series Starts Streaming

RBN Web Desk: Eken Babu, the fictional amateur detective character created by author Sujan Dasgupta, is all set to debut as a web-series. It is being directed by Anirban Mallik.

The first story in the Eken Babu web-series is set in Bengaluru where the eccentric sleuth gets involved in a gruesome murder.

Dasgupta began writing the Eken Babu stories in the early nineties and the series first appeared in popular children’s magazine Anandamela. The first story in the series was Manhattane Moonstone. This was followed by several other stories. While Dasgupta initially wrote the stories for children and adolescents, he later started writing them for young adults and grownups.

The stories have since been compiled and published in several volumes by The Cafe Table.

The Eken Babu web-series has started streaming from 9 March. Anirban Chakrabarty is playing the title role in the series, which has been scripted by Padmanabha Dasgupta.
