Kamaleshwar Mukherjee Back on the Stage

RBN Web Desk: Kamaleshwar Mukherjee is all set to return to the stage with a new production titled Play House. The leading film director was actively involved with theatre during his student days at Medical College.

Play House is a Bengali adaptation of Heather Graham’s novel A Dangerous Game. The novel has been adapted for the stage by Padmanabha Dasgupta. He also plays the lead. Padmanabha has written the script for several successful films and stage productions.

The play centres around the suicide of a middle-aged person. The man, in an act of revenge, murders one of his superiors. He then confesses the crime and takes his own life. The play, directed by Kamaleshwar, was recently staged before a select audience.

Play House will be staged on 22 October in Kolkata.
