RBN Web Desk: Actor-filmmaker Anjan Dutt is all set to appear as mid-19th century post-Impressionist painter, Vincent van Gogh, in a new play to be directed by Kaushik Sen. This is for the first time that Anjan will be working in a non-home production.
While the play will be staged under the Swapna Sandhani banner, according to Kaushik, he won’t dig into the group’s fund to bankroll the production. The entire production cost will be crowdfunded, he said, adding that Swapna Sandhani’s funds would be used for the play Debesh Chattopadhyay is directing.
Kaushik had steered Swapna Sandhani for more than two decades before handing over the reins to Debesh recently.
The play is based on poet Srijato Bandopadhyay’s novel Taara Bhora Aakashe and is titled Taraye Taraye.
Kaushik’s wife Reshmi and son Riddhi will be seen in major roles in the play. Music for the production is being composed by Neel Dutt.
