It’s Both a Loss and Gain for Tonushree Chakraborty
RBN Web Desk: One person’s loss in another’s gain. But actress Tonushree Chakraborty seems to be going through both, with roles now coming to her.
Tonushree had walked out of Srijit Mukherji’s Ek Je Chhilo Raja. She was supposed to play a courtesan in the film and was required to show her bare back in one of the scenes. That did not go down too well with her boyfriend who objected to the scene and Tonushree quit the project.
But now, director Birsa Dasgupta has offered her a role in his upcoming film Crisscross, which has an ensemble cast. She will play the role which has been left vacant by Swastika Mukherjee.

Swastika, according to reports, left the project because she did not want to jostle for screen space in a film which already has a huge cast. Swastika told close quarters that she wants roles where she can prove her acting prowess.
