Twice the Joy for Priyanka Sarkar
RBN Web Desk: Popular actress Priyanka Sarkar has added another feather to her cap. She has bagged the best actress award at the 2018 Lake City International Film Festival (LCIFF) for her performance in Andarkahini. The film is directed by Arnab K Middya.
Andarkahini narrates the story of four different women and their relationship with their brother, father, friend, and husband. Priyanka plays all the four women in the film. Each story highlights how these women face challenges in their daily lives in regard to their respective relationships.
Earlier in June, the actress had won the award in the same category for the same film, at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival.
LCIFF is an annual event held at Gwalior. This was the third year of the festival.
Andarkahini was also adjudged the best experimental film at LCIFF. It has Rajesh Sharma, Saayoni Ghosh, Soumitra Chatterjee, Anindya Chatterjee, and Nitya Ganguly in other major roles.
Priyanka won the award jointly with senior actress Rituparna Sengupta who was honoured for her performance in Colours of Life directed by Prakash Bharadwaj.
