Tarun Majumdar Back with New Film
RBN Web Desk: Director Tarun Majumdar is back with a new film. This time it’s a docu-feature on the unorganised labourers of the country. The veteran filmmaker’s last film was Bhalobasar Bari which released in 2017.
Speaking to the media recently, Majumdar said, more than 90 percent workers in India are in the unorganised sector. These include coal mines, tea gardens, construction and others industries. Many people from the Sundarbans work as unorganised labours, and are exploited by their employers, he added.

The 85-year old filmmaker has completed shooting the film, tiled Adhikar, and the postproduction will start soon. The film has been canned mostly on real locations. The feature parts have been shot with newcomers.
The Dadar Kirti director had taken a 10-year break before releasing Bhalobasar Bari. Prior to that his last film was Chander Bari which released in 2007.
