A Ray of Light Travels to Singapore
RBN Web Desk: A Ray of Light, a docu-feature film on veteran photographer Nemai Ghosh is all set to be screened at Singapore today. Directed by Anirban Mitra and Tirtha Dasgupta, the documentary is an official selection to the second Singapore South Asian International Film Festival.
Ghosh attained international acclaim for working with Satyajit Ray for more than two decades, beginning with Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1969), until the auteur’s last film Agantuk (1991). He has held several exhibitions at home and abroad and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.
A Ray of Light was earlier shown at London and Edinburgh in September. The film has already bagged three awards in India.
