Mimoh-Madalsa Wedding Called Off
RBN Web Desk: Actor Mahaakshay (Mimoh) Chakraborty’s marriage to actress-model Madalsa Sharma has been cancelled at the last moment. The two were scheduled to exchange wedding vows yesterday.
Mahaakshay is the son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty and yesteryear actress Yogeeta Bali.
Mimoh and his mother have been accused by a Bhojpuri actress of rape, cheating, and forcible termination of pregnancy. A district court in Delhi, earlier, had asked the complainant to register a first information report (FIR) in this regard.
The Bombay High Court, on 5 July, had rejected an appeal for interim relief from arrest, moved by Yogeeta and Mahaakshay.

Madalsa’s mother Sheela Sharma, however, had earlier told the media that the wedding was ‘very much on.’ Sheela had claimed that they are aware of Mimoh’s past acquaintance with the Bhojpuri actress. Mimoh, Sheela said, had filed a non-cognisable complaint against the Bhojpuri actress for creating trouble in the past. Why has the woman resurfaced now before the marriage, Sheela had questioned, adding that they know the truth about the entire incident.

Arrangements for the Mimoh-Madalsa wedding were made accordingly at a leading hotel in Ootakamund. A police team, however, arrived at the venue to inquire into the allegations brought by the Bhojpuri actress. Madalsa’s family and relatives then decided to call off the wedding, until the investigation is complete, the news channel reported.

The Bhojpuri actress has alleged that she became pregnant because of a physical relationship with Mimoh and he gave her a medicine that caused the abortion. The complainant claimed that Mimoh’s mother had threatened her of serious consequences if the Bhojpuri actress continued the relationship with Mimoh. The actress, in her petition, said that she relocated to Delhi form Mumbai because of the continued threats from Mithun’s wife.
