Modi described Kavi as an amazing actor and an extremely positive person. He never skipped a shoot and was always on time. Kavi called him today morning and said that he won’t be able to shoot for the day. He passed away within hours. Kavi wasn’t keeping well since the last few days but still reported for work, Modi said, adding that the entire TMKOC unit is in a state of shock.
Kavi was seen in the role of Dr Haathi for nearly eight years. He replaced actor Nirmal Soni who earlier played the role when the show was launched in 2009. Kavi was also seen in films like Mela (2000), and Fun2shh (2003).
TMKOC has made its place in the Guinness Book of World Records for broadcasting the highest number of episodes on TV, both new and repeat. The 2500th episode was aired recently.
