Kaushiki Chakraborty Back in Srijit Film
RBN Web Desk: Vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty, who has intermittently lent her voice as a playback singer in several films, is back to sing for a Srijit Mukherji project for the second time. This time she has a full song to her credit.
Kaushiki has sung a thumri in Srijit’s upcoming film Ek Je Chhilo Raja for composer Indraadip Dasgupta. The song, Ruthe Naina Sukhe Naa, is composed in Raag Malhar.

The filmmaker recently tweeted about the recording.

Kaushiki had earlier sung a couple of lines in Srijit’s 2015 film Rajkahini. The song—Bharat Bhagya Bidhata—had an ensemble group of singers that included Kabir Suman, Lopamudra Mitra, Srikanta Acharya, Rupam Islam, Rupankar Bagchi and others. The track, beautifully arranged by Indraadip, gave goosebumps to listeners upon release.
Kaushiki has worked with Indraadip several times earlier. Besides Rajkahini, the two have worked together in Jaani Dekha Hawbe and Chaplin in 2011, Teen Kanya (2012), and Lorai (2015).
Ek Je Chhilo Raja will release later this year.
