Kader Khan Passes Away
RBN Web Desk: Actor-screenwriter Kader Khan, who was put under ventilation at a hospital in Canada on 28 October, is no more. He was 81.
The actor’s son Sarfaraz Khan told PTI, “My dad has left us. He passed away on December 31 at 6 pm as per Canadian time due to prolonged illness. He slipped into coma in the afternoon. He was in the hospital for 16-17 weeks.”
Kader Khan’s last rites will be performed in Canada since his entire family is already there.
The actor was put under under BiPAP ventilation after he complained of breathlessness. His condition had worsened rapidly and the doctors preferred to put him in the BiPAP ventilation instead of a normal one.
The 81-year old actor underwent a botched knee surgery last year which robbed him of the ability to walk.
In an illustrious career spanning nearly 50 years, Kader Khan has acted in over 300 films. He has also been one of the most successful screenwriters in Hindi cinema with over 250 films to his credit.
