It’s Jhuma Boudi Now

RBN Web Desk: With Swastika Mukherjee walking out of Dupur Thakurpo, the role that she played on the hugely popular web-series, is all set to have a change in name. Swastika was cast as Uma Boudi in Dupur Thakurpo and the character will now be renamed as Jhuma Boudi.

If everything goes according to plan, actress Sreelekha Mitra will replace Swastika in the web-series. According to unconfirmed reports, Sreelekha has verbally agreed to play the role.

The rest of the Dupur Thakurpo cast is unlikely to change.

The shooting of the next season of Dupur Tahkurpo is expected to start soon.

Sreelekha is a popular actress in Bengal and has worked with almost all leading directors including Basu Chatterjee, Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Anik Dutta, and others.
