No Light in Sight for Unreleased Kaushik Ganguly Film
RBN Web Desk: Director Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming film Drishtikone is all set to open this summer. However, the release of another Kaushik Ganguly film, Dhumketu, which has since been long canned, seems to be hurtling from one trouble to another.
The film is a co-production between producer Rana Sarkar and Bengali superstar Dev. Things soured between the two over intellectual property rights, and though they met time to time to resolve the issue, there is no light yet at the end of the tunnel.

Dev recently told a leading English daily that as a producer one should have full control over a project. He decided to start his own production company, Dev Entertainment Ventures, after his bitter experience with Dhumketu. The actor claimed that he had plans to promote the film on a much larger scale than his earlier productions Chaamp and Cockpit.
When asked whether he has completed dubbing for the film, which Sarkar had earlier complained, the actor remained noncommittal.
Dhumketu has Dev, Subhasree Ganguly, Chiranjeet Chakraborty, and Rudranil Ghosh in major roles.
