Goutam Das Baul Nets a Winner with O Obhagi Radha

RBN Web Desk: Popular folk singer Goutam Das Baul, who has performed with leading musicians at home and abroad, has netted a winner with his rendition of the extremely hummable O Obhagi Radha from the soundtrack of Alifa. The video of the song was released online earlier today.

Alifa is directed by debutant director Deep Choudhury and opened on 30 March. The film has already won much critical acclaim and Deep was adjudged the best debutant director in the 64th National Film Awards last year.

Alifa tells the story of migrant workers and their struggle for survival. It has Baharul Islam, Jaya Seal Ghosh, Victor Banerjee, and Prasun Gayen in lead roles.

Music for the film is composed by Bickram Ghosh.

Jaya recently opined to a leading Bengali daily that Alifa is probably one of Bickram’s best works ever.
