9 Bollywood Films that Deserve a Sequel
4. Sarfarosh (1999)

Tense and gripping. Sarfarosh is among the rare mainstream Bollywood films that won both popular and critical acclaim. With terrorism and arms funding as the plot, Sarfarosh deserves a sequel now than any other time. Director John Mathew Mathan, in fact, kept the ending of the film open for a continuation. It will be a treat to watch Aamir Khan leading a team of crack cops again on a mission to challenge crime.
5. Johnny Gaddar (2007)

This was a neo-noir thriller directed by the very talented Sriram Raghavan. Well, Neil Nitin Mukesh’s career may have since gone southwards after his debut, but Jonny Gaddar is surely one of those Bollywood films that deserve a sequel. A perfect script, a perfect crime, and some superb performances by Dharmendra, Rimi Sen, Zakir Hussain, Vinay Pathak, Ashwini Kalsekar and the rest of the cast.
6. Delhi Belly (2011)

A dark comedy replete with toilet jokes (literally). Delhi Belly, directed by Abhinay Deo was one crazy film. Superbly written, it had Imran Khan, Poorna Jagannathan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Shenaz Treasurywala and Vir Das in lead roles. A misplaced package, a gangster in tow, and Kapur’s tummy troubles. The film has all the ingredients to spawn a sequel. Bollywood films like these don’t come often.
