Yeti Obhijaan: The Hunt Continues in Birmingham
London: After a sold-out premiere in Manchester, Yeti Obhijaan is all set to have its next UK show in Birmingham on 26 November, where the Srijit Mukherji film is expected to draw another full house.
Roshni Sarkar, one of the organisers of the event, said: “Birmingham, being in the Midlands, has a good Bengali population from different backgrounds and age groups. Our expectations are huge.”

The Manchester screening of Yeti Obhijaan, Roshni said, got an overwhelming response. Everyone who attended the premiere, congratulated them and wished to see more theatrical screenings of Bengali films in UK, she added.
According to the organisers, this was one of the biggest Bengali films in terms of budget and scale to be shown in UK. It was also an effort to introduce their children to Bengali films and culture as they get very little exposure in this regard.
On why they chose Yeti Obhijaan, co-organiser of the event, Somnath Sarkar said: “We chanced upon a trailer of the film and immediately felt that our children would love the big screen action-adventure. At the same time, recent Bengali releases are massively under-represented in UK, and we decided to show the film here.”
Yeti Obhijaan, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik, and Jisshu Sengupta in major roles, has been one of the biggest hits of 2017 so far. According to industry sources, the film has already raked in close to ₹8 crore in box office collections.
RadioBanglaNet is the internet radio partner of both the Manchester and Birmingham shows of the film.
