Total Dhamaal Not to Release in Pakistan, Twitterati Reacts Differently
RBN Web Desk: The makers of Total Dhamaal, the upcoming adventure-comedy flick directed by Indra Kumar, have decided not to release the film in Pakistan. The core team behind the film announced today that they have decided to withdraw Total Dhamaal from all halls in Pakistan where it was slated to release.
The team took the decision in the wake of the killing of 40 paramilitary soldiers at Pulwama on 14 February by Pak-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Rewind: 30 Years of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara
The film has an ensemble cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, Esha Gupta, Johnny Lever, Boman Irani and others. The film will also see Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit share screen space after nearly two decades. They last appeared together in Pukar (2000).
Devgn, who is also a co-producer of the film, said on Twitter that the decision was taken in the light of the current situation. He also pledged to donate ₹50 lakh to the families of the martyred soldiers.
Twitterati, however, reacted differently to the decision with users suggesting that it would have been a deserving punishment for Pakistan had the film released there.
Finally. Something happened in favour of pakistan
