Shah Rukh Says No to Priyanka
RBN Web Desk: Ever since producer Ritesh Sidhwani hinted that Don 3 could well be on the cards, speculations are rife on the probable cast of the third film of the popular franchise. Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra played the lead in the first two films directed by Farhan Akhtar.
According to some industry sources, Shah Rukh has reportedly asked Farhan to drop Priyanka Chopra from the third instalment and rope in Deepika Padukone instead.

It may be recalled that Priyanka had played the female lead Roma in the first two films.
The reason for the major change in the cast has been attributed to the cold vibes that Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan now share. The two were once rumoured to be involved in a brief affair that started during the making of Don (2007). The social media went berserk when Priyanka appeared on a chat show on a popular US television channel wearing a leather jacket rumoured to belong to Shah Rukh. Some old pictures of the Bollywood superstar, wearing a seemingly identical leather jacket, surfaced on the internet to lend credence to the rumours.

It’s also being said at the same time that Shah Rukh wants Deepika in Don 3 because they have delivered several box office hits together. Trade analysts believe that the two share a wonderful chemistry as seen in Om Shanti Om (2007), Chennai Express (2013), and Happy New Year (2014), and repeating them in Don 3 certainly makes sense.
Priyanka Chopra is now busy in the US shooting the third season of television show Quantico.
