Saswata, Rituparna in New Thriller

RBN Web Desk: Saswata Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta are all set to star in director Indrasis Acharya’s new film The Parcel. The two had earlier shared screen space in director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s psychological thriller Goodnight City.

Indrasis told the media that the film can be called a thriller. He, however, admitted that he never had any plans to make such a film. He simply had a story idea in mind. The film is about a homemaker who one day receives a parcel from an unknown sender. It leads to a number of unexpected incidents, and what happens next forms the crux of the story, he said.

Indrasis had earlier directed Bilu Rakkhosh and Pupa. Both films were critically acclaimed.

Rituparna, the director said, has the commanding screen which the role she is playing demands. It’s also the the reason why he cast Saswata, he added.

The new thriller will go on the floors from 11 January and will be shot in Kolkata, Santiniketan, and Taki.
