RBN Web Desk: Directors Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, if industry sources are to be believed, are reportedly considering a sequel to their 2016 film Praktan that saw the return of the Prosenjit Chatterjee-Rituparna Sengupta pair after a long hiatus.
While concrete details about the Praktan sequel are yet to emerge, Shiboprosad is reportedly evaluating the various characters and their relations with each other in the earlier film. Praktan had a number of characters and the director duo is looking whether their psychological aspects can be explored in the sequel. The narrative has to travel back and forth in time to show how these characters deal with their past.
The directors are currently busy with the post-production and promotion of their upcoming film Haami, which is slated to release this summer.
Besides Praktan, Nandita and Shiboprosad have given the Bengali film industry some of the biggest hits in recent times, including Bela Seshe (2015) and Posto (2017).
