Mumtaz Sorcar in her First Bangladeshi film
RBN Web Desk: Actress Mumtaz Sorcar is likely to step into the Bangladeshi film industry in a new project from the neighbouring country. The youngest daughter of the legendary magician PC Sorcar Jr will be seen in a film titled Maya: The Lost Mother.
It may be recalled that Mumtaz started her career with a music video for popular Bangladeshi singer Mehreen. Her first film appearance was in Bhorai, The Malady of Dawn which had a limited release in 2009.

A trained boxer and professional dancer, Mumtaz returned a commendable performance in director Anik Dutta’s debut film Bhooter Bhabishyat. The film released in 2012 and went on to be a sleeper hit via word of mouth publicity.

Maya: The Lost Mother will be shot mostly in Dhaka, Narsingdi, and Raipura in Bangladesh. The rest of the cast is yet to be locked and the producers are keeping the project closely under wraps.
The film will be directed by Masud Pathik.
