Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor Back Together
RBN Web Desk: Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor, one of most popular on-screen pairs of the nineties, are all set to be back together for a new film. They last shared screen space 17 years ago in Pukar. The film was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and won Kapoor a National Award for the best actor.
Now, filmmaker Indra Kumar have paired Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor for Total Dhamaal, the shooting of which will begin in January next.
Kumar had earlier directed Madhuri in some of the biggest hits of her career like Dil, Beta (with Kapoor), and Raja.
Anil and Madhuri have acted in a number of films together that include hits like Tezaab, Jamai Raja, and the critically acclaimed Parinda.
According to Kumar, Total Dhamaal is a comedy, and will have Ajay Devgn entering the franchise for the first time. He had approached Madhuri with the script and she is keen to work with Anil again.
The film is likely to release on Diwali next year.
