Shah Rukh Likely in Rajkumar Hirani Film
Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, currently busy shooting a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt where Ranbir Kapoor plays the title role, is rumoured to have locked a film with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Rajkumar Hirani, who has directed some of the most successful films in the recent past, like Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots (inspired from Chetan Bhagat’s bestselling novel Five Point Someone), and PK, may finally collaborate with Shah Rukh for the first time.

It is widely believed that both Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots were first offered to Shah Rukh who declined citing various reasons.
According to industry sources, four of Shah Rukh’s last five films (excluding guest appearances) bombed at the box office and the actor is keen to regain his lost ground. Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017), Raees (2017), Dear Zindagi (2016) and Dilwale (2015), failed to live up to audience expectations and critics were particularly harsh with their scathing reviews. The actor may be finally ruing the fact that the films he refused—Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots—went on to become major hits. This time round, he couldn’t possibly say no to Rajkumar Hirani, the sources said.
Shah Rukh Khan is presently busy shooting Aanand L Rai’s yet untitled film where he plays a dwarf. The actor also has a double role in the project which has Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.
Rajkumar Hirani, while promoting Saala Khadoos last year, had expressed his desire to work with Shah Rukh.
