Controversial Mainak Bhaumik Film to Release Online
Speaking to the media recently, Kaushik said, Nagar Kirtan will be sent to festivals around the world and shown to a select audience before it is released commercially in India. It’s a niche film more on the lines of Arekti Premer Galpo, Apur Panchali, and Shabdo, Kaushik said, adding that he wants to generate audience interest before it hits the theatres.
The director said that the film is very close to his heart and made by the “real” Kaushik Ganguly. Neither he nor the producer, are keen to hurry with the Nagar Kirtan release, the Bishorjon director added.
