Controversial Mainak Bhaumik Film to Release Online
RBN Web Desk: Controversial Mainak Bhaumik film Aami Vs Tumi, which has been lying in the cans since 2011, is all set to be released on an on-demand digital entertainment platform. Release of the film has been repeatedly delayed over the years.
The poster, announcing the film’s digital streaming, was released today.

The producer of Aami Vs Tumi had alleged that Mainak’s 2017 romantic comedy Bibaho Diaries had a striking resemblance to the 2011 film. And that was not all. Mainak had allegedly convinced the producer to release Aami Vs Tumi after Bedroom (2012) since the latter was a multi-starrer and the former film would then stand a better chance of box office success. But Mainak, according to the producer, later suggested him to release the film after Maach Mishti & More (2013) as then he could sell the satellite rights of all the three films as a package.

The producer, not to wait further, finally applied for censor clearance in 2014 and arranged for the film’s distribution.
Aami Vs Tumi has Rahul Banerjee, Priyanka Sarkar, and Biswanath Basu in the lead.
The film will start streaming from 21 April.
