Joyjit Banerjee Goes Behind the Lens

RBN Web Desk: Popular TV and film actor Joyjit Banerjee is all set to go behind the camera to debut as a director. The short film will have Shaheb Bhattacharjee and Ridhima Ghosh in the lead.

Speaking to the media, Joyjit said, he wanted to be a director since the beginning of his career. But he later realised that it’s not easy to don the director’s hat. The idea of making a film recently came up at a casual meeting with his friends. We decided to produce it ourselves and the planning started, Joyjit said, adding that they have not yet selected the name of the film.

The actor didn’t reveal much about the project but said his film could be a love story which takes a different turn as the narrative progresses.

According to Joyjit, we face several incidents in our lives that are often ignored, and there are others that leave behind an impression. The story of his film will be nonconventional, Joyjit said, adding that he has plans to send the film to various international film festivals.
