RBN Web Desk: Popular Hindi Film actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra has claimed that there were at least two producers who threw her out of their films without any reason. Writing on the social media page of ‘Humans of Bombay’, Shilpa said, the universe was not in her favour but she still kept trying despite being pushed down.
Shilpa made her debut in ‘Baazigar’ (1993) where she appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film went to become one of the biggest hits that year and a turning point in Shah Rukh’s career as an actor.

Recalling her entry into the Hindi film industry, Shilpa said that she was a “dark, tall and lanky child.” Her life was pretty much laid out. That she would graduate from college and then work with her father. However, she always wanted to be a part of something big. She participated in a fashion show where a photographer clicked her. She started to appear for film auditions, Shilpa said, and was elated when ‘Baazigar’ came her way.
‘Baazigar’ was followed by other hits like ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ (1994) and ‘Auzaar’.

The actor-turned-entrepreneur admitted, her career became stagnant after ‘Dhadkan’ (2002), a film where she got critical acclaim. Shilpa wanted to reinvent herself and entered the hugely popular television game show Celebrity Big Brother 5 where she was subject to racist comments.
Shilpa returned to Hindi films with a stellar performance in the role of a neglected homemaker in Anurag Basu’s 2007 film ‘Life in a… Metro’.
