First Look of New Shah Rukh Film Released

RBN Web Desk: The wait is over. The title of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s new film with director Anand L Rai is Zero. The actor tweeted the name of the film earlier today. He also released the film’s first look on YouTube.

The film will see him co-star with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. He had starred with Anushka in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, and with Katrina in Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012.

The Dilwale star ushered in the New Year with his wife and children in Mumbai. While Anushka is accompanying husband Virat Kohli to the Indian cricket team’s South Africa tour, Katrina is presently holidaying in Bangkok.

Zero has already generated a huge deal of audience interest as Shah Rukh Khan plays a dwarf in this film.

Dressed in a tuxedo and shorts, the actor is seen dancing away in typical street-smart style, and looks absolutely adorable in the teaser.

Nearly thirty years ago southern superstar Kamal Hassan played a dwarf in the 1989 film Apoorva Sagodharargal. The film was directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Apoorva Sagodharargal was also dubbed and released in Hindi as Appu Raja. The film broke several box office records and was a major hit in Kamal Hassan’s career.

Anand L Rai had earlier directed Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and its sequel Tanu Weds Manu: Returns (2015). He also produced the critically acclaimed Nil Battey Sannata (2016).

Zero will release on 21 December.
