Fat, Ugly Women are Blaming Men: Abhijeet
RBN Web Desk: Close on the heels of sexual harassment charges being leveled against actors and directors like Nana Patekar, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, and Rajat Kapoor, prominent playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has landed himself in controversy by saying that fat, ugly women are blaming men.
Earlier, on Tuesday, a flight attendant with a private airlines company alleged that Abhijeet had sexually harassed her in a pub in Kolkata almost 20 years ago.
When contacted by the media, the singer said, he wasn’t even born at that time. He claimed that he has never visited a pub in his entire life and stays away from parties. Fat and ugly women are now blaming him just to grab media attention, since his name sells, Abhijeet added.
The singer said that he is not contemplating any action against the allegation. He doesn’t know against whom to take action, Abhijeet said, adding that the matter has no importance to him.
Abhijeet’s reaction, understandably, has caused outrage among the film fraternity and the society.
