Musafirana in UK

RBN Web Desk: Musafirana, a collaborative project of poet and songwriter Srijato Bandopadhyay, composer Joy Sarkar, and singer Srikanto Acharya, will hold its maiden UK performance in London on 17 March. It will be followed by another show in Birmingham the next day.

The final show of the series will be held in Manchester on 24 March.

Musafirana, probably the first album of Bengali ghazals, was released in 2011. The songs in the album were written using the common nuances of Urdu poetry, all the while keeping within the parameters of the Bengali language.

The album was hugely successful on release and the trio followed it up with Musafirana 2 which hit the stands in 2016.

The Musafirana shows in UK are being organised by Nrityakunj, Indian Arts Association, Bilete Bangali, Hujuge Bangali, UKdoctorchef, and Neom.
