Drishtikone Songs Composed Long Before the Film was Locked
RBN Web Desk: The music and trailer of director Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming film Drishtikone was launched on 31 March. While Rituparna Sengupta and Prosenjit Chatterjee will reunite on the big screen after two years, the film’s music has already begun to climb up the popularity charts.
Popular singers Iman Chakraborty and Rupankar Bagchi have lent their voices to the Drishtikone soundtrack along with Paloma Majumder. Music for the film has been composed by singer-songwriter Anupam Roy.

However, according to the director, the Drishtikone songs were composed by Anupam long before the film was locked. Kaushik was impressed with the songs and asked Anupam to reserve them so that the tracks can be used later in one of his films. Both the words and the music, are different from what Anupam has composed so far in his career, he added.
For Iman, it’s a reunion of sorts with Anupam, Prosenjit, and Rituparna. She had earlier worked for Anupam in Praktan (2016), the last film where Prosenjit and Rituparna shared screen space together. She won a national award for her song Tumi Jake Bhalobaso from the film’s soundtrack.
Drishtikone releases on 27 April.
