Chaepani Launches YouTube Channel

Kolkata: Chaepani, a collective space that fosters an interdisciplinary approach towards expression and communication through various forms, recently launched its YouTube channel in the city through the music video Chaile Tomay. The song has been written by Debasish Ghosh Roy and composed by Saptarshi Routh with Chayan Chakraborty in charge of the music arrangement. Timir Biswas has lent his voice to the track while the video is directed by Debasish Sen Sharma.

The collaborative platform is the brainchild of Sen Sharma who has directed films like Bicycle Kick (2013) and AranyaDeb (2017).

Speaking at the event, the independent filmmaker said, “The idea behind the channel is to establish Chaepani’s digital presence across the globe. Our primary aim is to curate original content like stories through cafe storytelling sessions, Bengali compositions through cafe music sessions, and short films through competitions, and also to curate masterclass.”
