Sujan Mukherjee to Play Uttam Kumar

RBN Web Desk: Actor Sujan Mukherjee is all set to play Uttam Kumar in a docu-feature which is being made on the Bengali matinee idol. Titled Jete Nahi Dibo, the film will be directed by Prabir Roy.

The docu-feature, according to Prabir, is his tribute to the most popular star in Bengal. No other actor in the Bengali film industry enjoyed the fan following and stature of Uttam Kumar. He almost carried the industry alone, Prabir said, adding that Uttam was a star in the Hollywood sense of the term. But the actor deserved more than what he got. All these issues will be highlighted in the film, the 69-year old director said, adding that Sujan has been roped in to play Uttam Kumar in the docu-feature.
