Shashi Kapoor, Sridevi Remembered in 90th Academy Awards

RBN Web Desk: Academy Awards, the biggest celebration in the world to honour cinema, paid tribute to Bollywood stars Shashi Kapoor and Sridevi in its In Memoriam segment. The 90th Academy Awards were given away in Los Angeles today.

Others remembered include Martin Landau, Mary Golderg, Roger Moore, John Heard, Johan Johansson, and Sam Shepard. Lead vocalist of US rock band Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, performed on stage during the segment montage.

Actor-producer Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on 4 December 2017, while Sridevi passed away on 24 February. Both were hugely popular stars in the Hindi film industry.

Prominent Indian actor Om Puri was remembered at last year’s event. He died on 6 January 2017.
