Ritabhari to Steer New Children’s Film
RBN Web Desk: It seems that children’s films are the flavour of the season. After Guptodhoner Sondhane, Haami, and Rainbow Jelly, director Satarupa Sanyal has announced a new children’s film, titled Misthi. Rituparna Sengupta and Ida Dasgupta will play the lead in the film.
The narrative in Mishti will revolve around a nuclear family. The father works abroad, and the mother finds it difficult to handle the two children. The family is also facing financial hardships that are hard to overcome. Under such circumstances, the younger child is engrossed in her own world of fantasy, which worsens the family’s situation. The mother, with no way out, has to make some tough decisions.
Misthi is a fantasy-drama film and is a story of wish fulfillment.
The project will be headed by Satarupa’s daughter Ritabhari Chakraborty. She will be in charge of the entire production.
