Popular Bollywood Actor Likely in Next Shabor Film

RBN Web Desk: The Shabor series, directed by Arindam Sil, has been one of the most successful franchises in Bengali cinema. The third Shabor film recently completed 50 days at the box office. Saswata Chatterjee plays the title role of assistant commissioner of police Shabor Dasgupta in the series.

And now, industry reports strongly suggest that a popular Bollywood actor is likely to be roped in the next Shabor film. Author Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, who created the fictional detective, has reportedly started writing the fourth story of the franchise.

Teaser of New Ashutosh Gowariker Film Out

While details of the project has been kept tightly under wraps, it is being widely believed that the Bollywood actor will play the role of the main antagonist in the film, and match wits against the Kolkata Police detective.

Arindam is all set to start shooting his new film Balighawr soon. This will be followed by Byomkesh Gotro in June.
