Bapi Bari Jaa Pair Back on the Big Screen

RBN Web Desk: Their first break was in the hugely successful Bengali serial Gaaner Oparey, broadcast on a private TV channel in 2010-11. The crackling chemistry between Mimi Chakraborty and Arjun Chakrabarty was loved by the audience and the serial topped TRP charts. Gaaner Oparey made Gora (Arjun) and Pupe (Mimi) household names.

Mimi and Arjun were seen once again in director duo Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s 2012 film Bapi Bari Jaa. The film is often considered a coming of age romantic comedy in Bengali and was popular among the urban youth.

And now, Arjun and Mimi are all set to appear opposite each other in Birsa Dasgupta’s upcoming film Crisscross. Based on a novel of the same name by author Smarajnit Chakraborty, Crisscross is an urban slice of life drama.

Kaushiki Chakraborty Back in Srijit Film

The film has an ensemble cast of Sohini Sarkar, Ridhima Ghosh, Priyanka Sarkar, Jaya Ahsan, Nusrat Jahan and others. It tells the story of five individual women, each having different views on life.
