Get Ready, Aschhe Abar Shabor

Kolkata: Having directed two successful films of the franchise earlier, filmmaker Arindam Sil is all set to bring popular fictional detective Shabor Dasgupta back on screen next year. Aschhe Abar Shabor, based on the characters created by author Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, will release in January.

The plot of the film, this time, is set in Chandannagar where a woman is found murdered on the banks of the Ganges. There are signs of sexual assault on the body. A pink bicycle is recovered from the spot and the murder has a striking resemblance to a similar incident in Kolkata.

The woman killed Chandannagar is the daughter of an influential businessman and that has spurred Kolkata Police into action. Assistant commissioner of police Shabor Dasgupta is called to look into the matter because he is already in charge of investigation of the Kolkata murder.

Director Arindam Sil today tweeted the official first-look poster of Aschhe Abar Shabor which prominently features Saswata Chatterjee in the title role. The film also has Indraneil Sengupta and Darshana Banik in major roles.
