Teaser of New Ashutosh Gowariker Film Out
RBN Web Desk: The first teaser of a new film to be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker released a few hours ago on the internet and the filmmaker has lined up an impressive cast for the project. Titled Panipat, Gowariker has roped in Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon, and Arjun Kapoor for the film.
The film is based on the third battle of Panipat which took place on 14 January 1761 between the Maratha Empire, and the invading forces of Afghan king Ahmad Shah Abdali, supported by his Indian allies the Nawab of Awadh Shuja-ud-Daula and Rohilla Afghans of Doab. Panipat will narrate the incidents that led to the war.

Gowariker, in a statement, said that he had earlier acted with Dutt in Mahesh Bhatt’s 1986 film Naam and it was a wonderful co-working experience.
The Swades director is finalising the rest of the cast for what is going to be his most ambitious project so far.
He tweeted the poster this morning.
