Jeet Gannguli Takes the Singles Route

RBN Web Desk: Singles seem to be the favour of singers these days, and it’s now composer Jeet Gannguli who is following the trend. His latest Hindi single, Barsaat Mein, released on 8 Februrary on the internet and has already got more than 36 lakh views.

Speaking to a leading English daily, Jeet Gannguli said that every time he composed a song, it would end up in some film. Gannguli said, “I wanted to compose and sing what I like, not being dictated by the demands of film music. You can’t always make music only for films.”

With the days of music albums over, and social media helping in promotions, it is now easier for musicians to reach out directly to the masses with singles.

The response to his new track, Gannguli said, has been overwhelming. The composer will produce five more singles.
