Geetashree Roy Now on the Big Screen
RBN Web Desk: Popular TV actress Geetashree Roy, who earned fame in the title role of hit teleserial Rashi, is all set for her big screen debut. She will be seen in Antor Shotta, written and directed by Rik Chatterjee and Bihaan Sen. Soumitra Chatterjee, Anindya Banerjee, and Tulika Banerjee play other major characters in the film.
Rashi, last telecast three years back, was a cult TV serial which made Geetashree Roy a household name among the Bengali audience. She later returned to play Debi in Debipaksha which ran for 118 episodes.
Antor Shotta, according to sources, is about the loneliness that people face in later life. Many individuals, who lend shoulders to others at their time of crisis, are left alone when they themselves are in trouble. How a person battles the circumstances, forms the crux of the story, Rik said.

Geetashree is paired opposite debutante Rajdeep Sarkar in Antor Shotta. Music for the film is composed by Chirantan Banerjee.
