Anirban Bhattacharya in New Horror Flick

RBN Web Desk: Anirban Bhattacharya, who is increasingly making his presence felt on the Bengali screen, is all set to be seen in a new horror film. The actor, who earned popularity with Arindam Sil’s 2016 film Eagoler Chokh, has an impressive lineup of films slated to release in the coming days.

The new horror film—Jojo—is directed by Argha Deep Chatterjee. Darshana Banik  Satyam Bhattacharya, and Saayoni Ghosh play major roles in the flick.

The Man Who Became Rabindranath Tagore

Jojo is about a girl named Mrittika who lives all by herself in a big city. The film revolves around a chain of mishaps that occur in her life. One of Mrittika’s best friends suggests her to take up a temporary baby-sitting job so that she can restore composure. The girl, to her surprise, finds that Jojo, the baby, is actually a doll which is treated like a human.

50 Years of Chowringhee

Anirban is playing the title role in the hugely popular Bengali web-series Byomkesh Bakshi. He has been appreciated for his performance in films like Khawto (2015), and Dhananjoy (2017). He played the title role in the latter film.

Jojo will release on 9 March.
