Docu-Feature on Nemai Ghosh at KIFF
RBN Web Desk: A Ray of Light, a docu-feature film on veteran photographer Nemai Ghosh is all set to be screened at the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF). The eight-day festival started in the city today.
The documentary is directed by Anirban Mitra and Tirtha Dasgupta.
Ghosh attained international acclaim for working with Satyajit Ray for more than two decades, beginning with Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1969), until the auteur’s last film Agantuk (1991). He has held several exhibitions at home and abroad and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.
Rewind: 30 Years of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara
A Ray of Light was earlier shown at London and Edinburgh in September, and later at Singapore. The film has travelled to 13 festivals and has already bagged three awards in India.
A Ray of Light will be screened tomorrow at 7.30pm in Nandan.
