Chinmoy Roy to Undergo Major Surgery
RBN Web Desk: Veteran actor Chinmoy Roy, who reportedly fell down from his building in Lake Gardens yesterday, will undergo a major surgery later tonight. He was found lying in a pool of blood by his neighbours.
A spokesperson of the south Kolkata hospital, where the 78-year old actor is under treatment, told the media that Roy has been kept in the critical care unit. His condition is being constantly monitored by neurosurgeons and other specialist doctors. He has suffered major injuries on his back and neck, and has to be operated. Roy bled profusely from his wounds after the fall, the spokesperson added.

The actor is being administered high dose antibiotics through a saline drip. He has received 15 stitches on various parts of his body. That aside, he is critically injured on his hand and feet, especially the upper limb and femur areas. Doctors are yet to confirm whether he has any spinal injury and diagnosis is being carried out.
The medical board set up to look after the actor held a meeting today morning. It was decided to keep the actor under special observation for the next 48 hours followed by another series of tests.
