Swastika All Set to Scorch with Dupur Thakurpo

Kolkata: Popular Tollywood actress Swastika Mukherjee is ready to set temperatures rising with the new web-series Dupur Thakurpo. The series will be broadcast on Hoichoi, the digital content platform, launched by SVF Entertainment on 20 September.

SVF cofounder, Vishnu Mohta, said that the adult comedy will be the first web-series of its kind in Bengali.

Swastika will be playing Uma Boudi, a flirtatious young wife to a much older Jibon Babu, played by actor-director Abhijit Guha.

The story of Dupur Thakurpo begins with Jibon Babu bringing home his beautiful and vivacious newly married wife Uma. But Jibon Babu is blissfully unaware of trouble just round the corner, when he agrees to his wife’s demand to let out a few rooms of his house to six young men. The men are bowled over by Uma Boudi’s charms and are even ready to go at all lengths to get a furtive glance from her. But she is only interested to play around with them.

The series is directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya.

SVF has lined up several original shows that include a series on Byomkesh Bakshi, where Anirban Bhattacharya plays the title role.
