Jisshu Set for Telugu Debut
RBN Web Desk: Actor Jisshu Sengupta is all set for his debut in Telugu films. He will be a part of the biopic being made on legendary actor-director Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, more popularly known in India as NTR. The film was launched earlier this year by the vice-president of India M Venkaiah Naidu. It is being directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish.
NTR was a three-time National Film Awards winner. He was also one of the most influential politicians in south India and the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years in three different terms.
Nandamuri Balakrishna will play NTR’s role in the biopic, while Vidya Valan will play his first wife Basava Tarakam. Bollywood actor Rana Daggubati will play NTR’s son-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu is the national president of Telugu Desam Party and the incumbent chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Jisshu has been cast as renowned producer-director LV Prasad in his Telugu debut. Prasad gave NTR his first break in the 1949 film Mana Desam.
Speaking to the media recently, Jisshu said, he has started preparing for the role. Krish has given him all the material needed for his homework. He has started learning Telugu, Jisshu said, adding that shooting will start in Hyderabad from 6 July.

The NTR biopic will be Jishu’s second film with Krish. He has already finished working in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi where Jisshu plays Rani Laxmibai’s husband Gangadhar Rao. The film is expected to release around Independence Day this year.
