Chinmoy Roy Admitted to Hospital with Multiple Injuries

RBN Web Desk: Veteran actor Chinmoy Roy was rushed to a private hospital in south Kolkata today with multiple injuries in his head. He has been kept in the intensive care unit.

The actor reportedly fell down from the third floor apartment of the building where he stays. He was found lying in a pool of blood in a semi-conscious state by his neighbours. Circumstances of the incident are under investigation.

A hospital spokesperson said that Roy is conscious and alert. He, however, has severe pain in his body because of the fall. That aside, he is being treated for other critical injuries, the spokesperson added.

A medical team has been set up to look after the actor.

In a career spanning several decades, the 78-year old actor has worked with several leading directors including Satyajit Ray, Tapan Sinha, Tarun Majumdar, and others.
