Sujoy Ghosh, Arindam Sil, Pratim D Gupta Join Hands for Teen Paheliyan
RBN Web Desk: Three prominent Bengali directors—Sujoy Ghosh, Arindam Sil, and Pratim D Gupta—have joined hands to make a miniseries to be broadcast on Hindi television channel Star Plus. The project, titled Teen Paheliyan, is being produced and curated by Sujoy.
The Kahaani director will helm the film titled Goodluck. It’s about a salesperson who vends good fortunes and the price that the customers are willing to pay for this. Kunal Roy Kapoor and Tina Desai play the lead in the short film.
Arindam, on his part, will direct Copy that features Vikrant Massey and Surveen Chawla. Vikrant plays a boy named Sid, who hires a robot, which is almost a replica of himself. What happens when the robot creates troubles in Sid’s life, forms the crux of the story.
Pratim will direct Mirch Malini, a story about a woman who gets to know even the darkest secrets of a person just by tasting handmade recipes. Paoli Dam plays Malini in the film which also stars Akshay Oberoi.
This is probably the first time that three top Bengali directors are collaborating for a television miniseries in Hindi.
Teen Paheliyan will be aired on 22 April.
